Alexandr Riazantsev (Russia, 2628) is leading the main tournament «Open A» after the 4th round. He defeated young Vietnamese Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, who made a name when qualified for the World Cup in Khanty-Mansisk. Riazantsev has 100% results (4 point from 4). 15 sportsmen follow behind him with 3,5.
Participants from additional tournaments with 6-days and 7-days competition schedule (A6 and A7) are attached to the main «Open A» from 5th tour on.
Tournament «A6» is a fast chess tournament. It is occurred strong enough because there were 6 GM from 12 participants. The most famous participants are Dreev Alexey (Russia, 2633), Malakhov Vladimir (Russia, 2689), Tregubov Pavel (Russia, 2636). According to the results GM Glek Igor (Germany) has the best points-3.5.
The best result at the tournament «A7» was demonstrated by Alexandr Lastin (2604), who is a winner of «Moscow Open 2006» and the champion of Russia 2002. He get 3.5 points from 4.There were 18 participants at the subgroup, 15 from them had an international title.
At the women tournament «Open C» Elena Tairova (Russia, 2386) and Anna Ushenina (Ukraine, 2484), who presented their national teams won al their games. Ushenina defeated GM Maria Manakova (Serbia, 2331) by white, and Tairova defeated young chess player Anastasia Bodnaruk (2317) from Saint-Petersburg. There are 8 people in the group of pursuers. All of them have 3.5 points.
It is important to note traditional good results at the women tournament. Only 4 games from first 20 games ended in a draw. For example, 12 games from first 20 ended in a draw at the men tournament «Open A».
The next tour of Festival will take place on the 6th of February at 5 p.m.
